MIT Campus Tours

Come visit us! The best way to learn about MIT is to experience it in person.

Guided Tours

The Office of Admissions conducts information sessions followed by student-led campus tours for prospective students and families every Monday through Friday, excluding federal, Massachusetts, and Institute holidays and the winter break period (see the MIT academic calendar). Information sessions begin at 10 am and 2:30 pm; campus tours immediately follow the session.

Reservations are requested.

Visitors who are not prospective students are welcome to inquire with MIT Admissions about joining a student-led campus tour after the information session concludes. Please stop by the Office of Admissions, room 10-100, the day of your visit. If there is space available, visitors will be informed where and when to join up with the tour group.

Mobile Public Art Map

This GPS-enabled mobile web app from the MIT List Visual Arts Center features self-guided campus walking tour routes of MIT’s Public Art Collection, as well as interviews with selected artist and architects.

Audio Tour
This audio tour of MIT’s campus was created by the MIT School of Engineering dean’s office, the CommLab, and several of their graduate student fellows. The tour starts in Kendall Square and moves in a rough circle around campus.
