A suffragist, philanthropist, and scientist, she broke boundaries from an early age, becoming one of the first women to graduate from MIT. - Jul 2610:30 AMFamily & Friends Workshop: Holograms & 3D PerceptionHow is it possible for our eyes and brain to perceive depth when viewing a flat surface?Explore several types of 3D effects, including some that are often confused with holograms, and learn what's special about holograms like those in the Optiker exhibit. Then create your own hologram of a small object! Choose from items provided or bring your own (< 2 inches tall, smooth or shiny objects work best).This workshop is designed for anyone age 11 and up; participants under 14 must be with an adult.
