Description

Speaker: Clair Dai (Harvard University)Title: Sectorial decompositions of symmetric products of surfacesAbstract: Symmetric products of Riemann surfaces play a crucial role in symplectic geometry and low-dimensional topology, for example, they are essential ingredients for defining Heegaard Floer homology and important examples of Liouville manifolds when the surfaces are open. In this talk, I will discuss work in progress on the symplectic topology of these spaces via Liouville sectorial methods.
