Description

Registration is Required - please register here: https://forms.gle/6p9mMHzrJgkfWSrF8Workshop 1 “Stepping into the Unknown" Guest Speaker: Prof. Ed Boyden, Y. Eva Tan Professor in Neurotechnology & Professor, Departments of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, Media Arts and Sciences, and Biological Engineering, MITResearch often takes unexpected and intriguing turn, sometimes leading us into entirely new scientific realms that were previously unexplored. Alternatively, young researchers may intentionally seek to pivot into different fields for various reasons – whether out of sheer interest, scientific curiosity, a desire to broaden their horizons, or the aspiration to acquire expertise in a new domain. Regardless of the motivation behind the pivot or the exact nature of the research field, several strategies can be effectively employed to navigate these transitions and maximize the chances of achieving a successful outcome. Our workshop series has dual purpose: to equip participants with practical tools and to provide a platform for interaction with established researchers who have successfully navigated scientific transitions in their scientific careers.
