Share a Concern

The resources below are available to respond to and consult on urgent concerns and emergencies.

MIT Police

Available 24/7

Call the MIT Police immediately in the event of any emergency, including but not limited to medical emergencies, fires, or to report a crime.

Dean on Call
(Nights and Weekends)

Available nights and weekends (Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 AM and all day Saturday and Sunday) and whenever MIT is closed

The Dean on Call (DOC) is accessed by calling the MIT Police. The dispatcher will just ask you for your name and phone number, which they will share with the DOC, who will call you back.

The DOC can be contacted by anyone who has a question or concern regarding an MIT student after hours.

Student Mental Health & Counseling

Open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Call Student Mental Health & Counseling during the day to set up an appointment or to speak to a clinician. Clinicians are available to speak with students about their own concerns or concerns for others.

If you call after hours when Student Mental Health & Counseling is closed, you will be connected to the Clinician on Call.

Violence Prevention and Response

Available Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Call Violence Prevention and Response (VPR) for issues related to sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, stalking, or sexual harassment for you or anyone you may be concerned about.
